This is probably my favorite piece of 2010 - so far! I saw something similar in Marie Claire magazine, only not as big and without a big bow. I liked it immediately and knew i had to come up with my own version.
I've made this one in a mock denim - it's actually a lightweight cotton blend that resembles denim but without the heaviness. Plus, this fabric hardly wrinkles!
The skirt comes fully lined. The one shown uses a contrast color for the lining that peeks out along the ruffle at the waist. You may opt for the same fabric for your lining if you prefer. There are two button holes at the center waist to pull the belt/bow through. It's ridiculously easy to wear...
I wore mine for Easter and was offered by 4 people to buy it off me. Sorry folks, this one's mine! =)
