Here are two happy musical amphibians - fun for the frog lover you know!!

The images of these frogs have been carved and pressed into clay to create small tiles. Both tiles have my glossy crackle fern green crackle glaze - a rich Victorian style glaze that flows from the raised areas and pools darker into the recesses - very lovely! I've glued a small ribbon onto the backs of this delicately carved tiles to let you hang it in that special place. They measure approximately 1 3/4 wide" x 2 1/8" tall each.

I carve the images in wax and then pour a plaster moulds. After extruding a thin slab of porcelain clay, the plaster mould is pressed into the clay, the tile is cut around the edges. After drying, the edges are sponged, the tile is fired, glazed, and fired again. A lot of work for a little piece of art! Each one is slightly different - because they're handmade!

Everyone of my small ornaments and magnets come packaged in a small cellophane bag with a decorative card....perfect for gift giving!
