Add a little nostalgic whimsy to your decor with this cute red clock handmade from a vintage record.

Functional, retro, eco-friendly and fun!

I think this clock would be great for a twins' room, or as a gift for your twin brother or sister, or for anyone who has ever known what it's like to hang out with your best friend or sibling and have everybody call you "The Bobbsey twins!"

I love to make art from recycled records. I usually paint them, but when I come across such sweet and rare discs as these, I know that leaving them with their original labels intact is the best way to go.

Maybe you have memories of listening to Golden Records or Peter Pan Records as a child. Maybe you have a child, or know a child, whose room would be brightened up with a clock like this. Your child can learn to tell time while also preserving the special memories and history of an art form that is becoming obsolete. I often hear parents say to their kids with a sigh, "You don't even know what records are!" Don't let this happen! Tell them all about it with a Vintage Record Clock from Eye Pop Art.

This adorable little clock is about 7" in diameter (17.78 cm).

It has a heavy duty hanger on the back. Requires one AA battery (not included).

The clock is made from a red colored record, with a label featuring a charming illustration of two of the Bobbsey Twins: a little dark-haired girl and boy dressed in fancy clothes and dancing together amidst a flock of birds.

The last photo shows what a similar clock looks like hanging in a child's room.

"The Bobbsey Twins" by Joya Lombardi and Bruce Marshall; Narrated by Ray Heatherton; Orchestra directed by Vicky Kasen; on the Peter Pan record label.

According to wikipedia: Peter Pan Records is a record label specializing in children's music. It was created in the late 1940s. The label was owned by the Synthetic Plastics Company of Newark, New Jersey until the 1970s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_pan_records

Also from wikipedia: The Bobbsey Twins are the principal characters of what was, for many years, the Stratemeyer Syndicate's longest-running series of children's novels, penned under the pseudonym Laura Lee Hope. The first of 72 books was published in 1904, the last in 1979. The books related the adventures of the children of the middle-class Bobbsey family, which included two sets of fraternal twins: Bert and Nan, who were 12 years old, and Flossie and Freddie, who were six.
