Coconut Spike Necklace - Natural

As usual, my trawling of tiny out of the way trimmings shops here in Montreal has yielded new inspiration! I found the gold tone vintage metal bars at one of my favorite haunts and an idea was born. Using the metal bar as the central column, I attached coconut spikes with gold tone metal rings onto each little loop in the bar, and this necklace was born. The process of attaching each spike is quite time consuming, such is the case though with those special pieces. It's this secret "decadence" that makes me so pleased with this design.

My favorite part of this necklace is that it can be worn at varying lengths, since I've added TWO clasps to the center back. Just rehook the clasps along the chain at any point to adjust the length. I especially love this necklace worn with a collared shirt and clasped at the shortest length. The spiked tuft sticks out of the collar in a wonderful way.

The chain is 34" long, and can be adjusted to any shorter length, up to 17". This listing is for the necklace with "Natural" colour coconut spikes, however a "Cocoa" colour is also available (see image #4, available in a separate listing in my shop)
