1920s Vintage Reproduction Garter Set

From Previously

Through much research and trial and error, garters from Previously are constructed using the same technique as vintage garters from the 1920's. The 100% silk taffeta ribbon and cotton fabric lining are sewn directly to the elastic which provides a sleeker sillouette and better fit. The black silk taffeta is very lightweight, pleats beautifully and has a softer, more subtle luster than silk satin. Just like the originals, the light blue cotton lining provides traction so the garters will stay in place. All ribbon flowers are handmade by me. Pictured here are ribbon flowers made with polyester ribbon imported from France that is dove grey/ blue with pink edging. Width of flower is 7/8" with green nylon cording for leaves extending 1/2" on each side. The overall width of the garters is 3/4". These vintage reproduction garters are very charming with tights or knee socks.

Size: Flappers wore them an inch or so above the knee, so Previously garters are sized to reflect this. The garters are 12.25" circumference unstretched and 21" when fully stretched. If your measurements fall outside of this range, please contact me.

Your garters will arrive attached to FSC certified card stock and enclosed in a clear bag that you can compost.

You will not be receiving the exact garters in the photos, you will receive this style of garter in the same materials as in the photos.
