I’m proud to present a miniature version of the absinthe fountains that were part of the French bistro culture of the 19th century. Inspired by the Bonnecaze and Cie N.2, this miniature absinthe fountain features a metal base and pedestal, a glass bowl filled with faux water, a metal top cover with a decorative black Swarovsky bead and two small silver polymer clay robinettes (faucets). It measures 2 3/8 inches (6 cm) tall.
Due to small imperfections on the metal components, the fountain can not be seen perfectly straight from every angle. However, when seen with both faucets pointing to the sides (as oppose to front and back), it looks straight.
This miniature fits the 1:12 scale, so it's perfect for any dollhouse – it will look perfect on any living room or library, of by-gone eras or contemporary; also in a pub, bar or museum. A fabulous gift for any Absinthe collector or enthusiast!
A word of caution!
This miniature is extremely delicate. Although it is capable of standing by itself, I strongly recommend that you hold it in place by the base with the help of dollhouse wax or Blu-Tack (or whatever your favorite holding method is).
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A TOY.
This is an adult collectible and it is not meant for children due to choking hazards. For decoration purposes only.
This listing is for the absinthe fountain ONLY. Table, bottle, glass, absinthe spoon and sugar bowl are for demonstrative purposes only and are not included in this sale.
