Delilah is one of my crochet flower Merry mobiles, handmade by me in my wee Edinburgh studio. I was inspired to crochet this unique and colouful mobile because I wanted to give movement and three dimensional form to my Forever flower garland designs.
As I am constantly collecting pretty fabrics and vintage plastic buttons it was an absolute pleasure to include them in this design. Each of Delilah's six outer trails are suspended from a decorative crochet base and have five crochet motifs, a snippet of fabric and a vintage button at the bottom to add weight. The central trail is longer and has lots of fabric pieces much like the trailing bows of a kite.
I think Delilah would be perfectly placed if hung by a window where the breeze could catch her trailing flowers and the light would highlight her pretty crocheted shapes. Oh, and if you are throwing a garden party she would make a great decoration, she would look amazing hanging from a tree branch with her flowers gently fluttering in a summer breeze... :)

Delilah's varying crochet flower motifs, snippets of fabric and vintage buttons are all strung along cream crocheted cords that are suspended from a cream crochet base which encloses a steel ring for support. This in turn is then suspended from a vintage curtain ring with more crocheted cords.
Colours include - orange, red, buttermilk, apple green, damson, indigo, moss green, aqua, cream, vintage pink, soft gold, russet, grass green, fuschia pink, dark turquoise and grape.
She is approx 101cm (40 inches) long, from the top of her hanging ring to the lowest button, and 24cm (9.5 inches) in diameter. Her largest flowers are approx 7cm (3.5 inches) across.
As with all my merry mobiles Delilah comes with signature hand embroidered flower label and a removable swing tag that includes care instructions.
Mobile - yarn and fabric parts 100% cotton.
Mobile care - keep dust free and spot clean if necessary, do not wash.
