The story of this design:
As you may have heard, the Central Texas area (where our Austin-based studio is located) has been severely affected by a devastating drought for the past year. This summer, these conditions caused multiple -hundreds- of wildfires to break out across the state, with every county in Texas being declared a Disaster Area. Farms have been leveled, wildlife, forests, and ranch land cleared, and the homes and livli-hoods of many of our neighbors ruined in a matter of minutes and in walls of flames.
While the loss is immeasurable, we hope to help our neighbors both here in Travis County and in neighboring Bastrop and Hays Counties, to recover and rebuild from this devastation. As such, we will be donating all proceeds from the sale of this “HEART IN HAND” ornament design to The Red Cross of Central Texas, the organization that has been active in making sure donations go directly to those families and businesses in need.
We thank you for your purchase of this special piece, and hope that together, we can help those who have been so tragically affected by this natural disaster.
