I start out with a silk chiffon scarf that I have dyed with rust, tea, and elderberry juice creating a heathered gray with a hint of violet.
I use a natural Corriedale wool that gives it a ethereal misty effect.
I have embellished the scarf by needle felting with a variety of remnant and recycled wool and fiber yarns. A sweet little owl (made from upcycled cashmere) sits perched upon a tree limb.
This is a unique one of a kind piece of wearable art that will look beautiful AND provide soft warmness this fall and winter.
