Coral is getting to be quite rare. It may be that the harvesting and importing will become near impossible, if not illegal, in the near future. Antebellum jewelry such as Scarlett's featured salmon pink coral, and this reproduction is faithful to the period materials. Vintage brass and reproduction findings were used to make a rendition as close as possible to the movie necklace.
This necklace was originally designed by Joseff of Hollywood, jewelry designer to the stars during Hollywood's Golden Days. It was designed and executed in coral, which I've used in the reproduction.
The central coral rosette features a coral teardrop prominently at the bottom, and the gold-plated chain leads up to identical rosettes that rest on the collarbone. Twin chains reach back to the clasp, also ornamented with coral (This part was interpreted by myself. I haven't found a photo of the back of the necklace.)
I made matching earrings to complement. Scarlett's actual earrings were different, and dissimilar to the necklace worn in the film. They are available in clips or posts.
The 16 1/2" necklace set comes in a keepsake box, and is available made to order. If you need different neck size, we can work out measurements that will fit your situation.
Gold-filled chain can be substituted for the gold-plated chain. Please convo me for details.
Please specify clip or post earrings.
