I cut the owl, and her branch from a sheet of copper using my trusty jewelers saw. Then I riveted the copper to a sterling back using sterling and brass wire rivets. I cut a round, full moon into the sterling backing. The pendant is just under 4 cm, and lightly hammered for texture. It is linked to 18 inches of sterling chain with tiny brass beads. The chain is finished with a custom sterling clasp. Finally, I gave the necklace an oxidized patina, and brushed it for a warm, antique finish.
