"LA ADELITA" - This skull beauty holding a vintage pistol, was inspired by "La Adelita", a popular folk song to come out of the Mexican revolution. It's the story of a young woman in love with a sergeant who travels with him and his regiment. The term, "La Adelita", came to be an archetype of a woman warrior in Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. An Adelita was a female soldier who fought in battles against Mexican government forces, and it has since come to signify a woman of strength and courage.

This is a reproduction of my original painting. It's an open edition print. The original painting was done on watercolor paper (I "aged" the paper to appear as old tattoo flash). It was created with acrylics, ink, and watercolor. The paper measures 8.5" x 11", but the image itself measures 8" X 10". There's a white border for matting and framing, should you so desire. It's signed in pencil on the back by the artist. The watermark logo will not be on your print.

*Please note that colors appear different on every computer monitor.*
Printed at a high resolution on a quality Epson photo printer. I use Epson heavyweight matte photo paper, and the image is crisp and vibrant. My prints are fade and water resistant.

The print will be packaged in an archival, acid-free plastic sleeve with cardboard backing. Shipped via First Class Mail in a durable, chipboard mailer.
