This new pattern from Harvest Moon by Hand is for an interactive, child-friendly activity book.
There are a variety of activities included within the 16-page book – plenty of things to keep children busy on rainy days, in the car, when they are sick, or just want to have some quiet time.
Although originally designed for young children, the classic games featured in the activity book would be appropriate for any age – child to adult. Tic-tac-toe and checkers are games that can be shared across the generations.
Children can learn basic skills by using the book as well: weaving, color matching, how to tie a shoe , braiding, and color identification.
Two pages in the Rainy Day Activity Book lend themselves well to children who like to use their imagination. Play through storytelling and creative expression are benefits of these pages.
The book also would be appropriate for individuals who have Alzheimer's Disease or who are undergoing occupational therapy.

The written directions, pictures, and material list to make the Rainy Day Activity Book will come via email. Pictures of each page, the materials needed, written directions, and diagrams of embroidery stitches used are a 34-page document.
The patterns for each of the pages will come via mail. The full-size patterns are on 19 8 1/2" x 11" pieces of paper.
