I have had these vintage Chinese hand painted little birds in my possession for a while now but couldn't quite get them to balance quite right in a secured position. Then the obvious occurred to me. They are birds. Why on earth would I want them stationary? Now they hang freely on my everyday staple, the blackened sterling silver hoop. The hand shaped sterling silver hoops have been hammered for texture and strength. The birds are white with heavenly blue colored wings and a yellow chest. Because they are handmade, each bird will look slightly different.
The hoops measure 25 mm (1") and the bird is 20 mm.
