This photo was taken in Okinawa, Japan. If you know anything about Japan or have ever been there, then you know about the umbrellas! The Japanese pride themselves in having fine pale skin, so they take extreme measures in making sure they are always shaded from the sun. It is such opposite from what you find In the US where the tanner you are the more beautiful you are. In Japan The more pale you are the more beautiful you are. This lady was just enjoying a lovely book on the seawall while making sure to shade herself from the beating sun.
