cast on, knitting in the round, stranded colorwork (up to 3 colors, but you could omit the third and use only 2), bind off.
materials:
one 16 inch size 2.5 circular needles, some place markers
yarn:
2 balls of fingering weight yarn, about 230 yards each, plus a small quantity (50 yards or less) of a third color.
for the pictured cowls, i used:
orange and green: alchemy Juniper in Kai's goldfish and knitpicks pallette in green tea heather, and a small amount of knitpicks pallette in edamame.
blue and green: knitpicks pallette in navy, green tea heather, and a small amount of alchemy juniper in turquoise pool
