I knitted this scarf with three different yarns but the inspiration was definitely the yarn with tiny pompoms. Deep and light pinks and white mini pompoms make strong accents throughout the scarf.
The second yarn is a soft hot pink blend of wool and soya and is knitted in an open stitch in the centre of the scarf allowing the pompoms to peep through.
And… to add a touch of bling, I added a fabulous hot pink yarn with three threads. The first is soft and plain. Then there is an eyelash with a wonderful shimmer and the third is a shiny twisted thread with small sequins spaced at regular intervals.
To add even more interest, the outside edge of the scarf has approximately 3 times as many stitches as the inside edge. This creates a curve bordered by the third sequin yarn and makes the scarf sit beautifully on your neck. Or, you can twist the scarf before you put it on the create another really interesting look. Either way, this scarf will surely stand out in a crowd.
This alluring scarf would make a wonderful gift but perhaps you might like to keep all the attention for yourself.
