Measuring in at 24" to the top of her bonnet, La Catrina was created using natural muslin and has been hand painted in great detail from head to toe. I had a blast (if you can't tell) with her face, with intricately detailed swirls and flowers. I've even painted her bony skeleton as you will see in the photos attached. Her hair is a naturally curly black mohair wool that has been styled into an updo with loose ringlet curls left to fall around her face.
La Catrina is dressed in her best funeral attire, including a long flowing double gown. Her undergown is a black and cream ticking with a drawstring neckline, full gathered skirt and ruffles at the cuff. Her overgown is a black moleskin fabric, tied at the waist and bust with sparkling black ribbons, also with a gathered skirt. Her knickers were made using a coordinating gray and black fabric and are gathered and tied at the waist.
I made La Catrina's bonnet using a coordinating black fabric and lots of black tulle, feathers and ribbons, and the flowers were created to match the flowers in her hair.
La Catrina's "R.I.P. tombstone" hang tag has a little sparkly visitor attached and seemed like the perfect finishing touch!
La Catrina is a one of a kind Prim and Proper Folks Original dollie and will come to you signed and dated. She will be carefully packaged and I include a free doll stand with all my dolls.
