i love a rainy day. i also love all the different kinds of mushrooms tthat pop out after the rain. each one has an otherworldly beauty that I find endlessly fascinating. i have tried to capture a little of that here in this lovely new mushroom made from a gray linen fabric. it has a bit of vintage whimsy added too... a little doily embroidered with pink flowers, slightly discolored from age. the mushroom is sewn together by hand, with pink embroidery thread. it has a pink base made from hand dyed wool.
stuffed firmly with pure wool, it has a base for more support. this mushroom stands on its own, but also can be displayed on it's side.
this mushroom measures approximately 7" tall, and 6" inches across the cap.
