This is a wrap-around skirt of my own unique design. There is A LOT of overlapping fabric, plus a trim silhouette, so your modesty is secure on a windy day. The sash is worn at the true waist (between the ribs and the hip bones) and ties in back in a sweet apron-inspired bow. Hidden easy fastener inside. A-line, knee length, flattering on everyone.
Skirt is made from new designer fabric. Sashes are made from vintage fabric and repurposed mint-condition clothing sourced from local thrift stores. Each skirt is trimmed below the sash with a repurposed button-down shirt collar. All skirts are one of a kind.
Choices in this listing:
A: *SOLD* Red plaid sash made from a button down shirt (from the 1970s perhaps), with a dark, dark grey (faded black?) collar in a fancy batik-like print with pinwheels trimming below. See photo 4 for full-on front view.
B: Vintage red plaid sash with a impressionist tropical print shirt collar trimming below. The collar isn't as white as it looks in the photos. The colors are strong with just a bit of white in the print. See photo 5 for full-on front view.
Fits size 0 – 12. This skirt will continue to fit you as/if you change size over time. You may be able to wear it for the rest of your life!
I didn’t design them as maternity wear but I have sold some of these to pregnant women who happily wear them throughout and after their pregnancies.
