Who doesn't love a good cuppa tea? Here is my small series of silhouettes dedicated to some of my favorite teas from around the world. Tea can be so soothing and invigorating. I always seem to have my favorite beverage on my mind, so I couldn't resist adding a a little whimsy to the top of her head as well. How many cups can you balance?
This striking silhouette is made from an original ink drawing I did one day on some old manila cardboard I had lying around. The old manila had a faded, "tea-stain" look to it, so I cut out a nice decorative boarder around his silhouette.
This size of the print is 5" x 7". This artwork is printed on one of the most beautiful, archival, art papers on the market now; a "Torchon" by Hahnemuhle. I think this is German for "really expensive paper". The black image is a solid, velvety surface; truly beautiful. It is an acid free paper and print with a weight and feeling like fine watercolor paper. Just gorgeous!
