Who's Rosa Parks?
Perhaps most commonly known for refusing to give up her seat on a bus to make room for a white passenger, Rosa Parks was an icon for resistance to racial descrimination. Parks teamed with other Famous Seniors like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the civil rights movement to work towards the removal of racial descrimination. Parks went on to receive many awards and honors for her work and later became known as the first lady of civil rights.
This colorful design features Parks in the foreground in red set against a yellow concrete textured background with an image of a vintage bus in turquoise. Parks' words sum up the way she lived her life and suggest the way that we should live ours.
