Because of the darkness of the activated charcoal, you need to take a little extra care to rinse your mouth completely, or there may be a bit of residue. This included it in my tooth powder because of the excellent detoxifying and bacteria killing properties, and it is safer for internal use compared to essential oils. This tooth powder rinses very cleanly leaves teeth feeling smooth. I love this formula because there is no baking soda. I have used baking soda in the past in other vendor's tooth powder, and it started taking enamel off of my teeth.
This tooth powder comes in a 2 oz container, and is 1.0 oz by weight. You can pinch a small amount into your palm, and then dab your wet tooth brush onto the powder. This is all natural with no preservatives, so do not add water to the jar of dry powder.
One oz lasts me 4 months.
I have two young children, including a toddler who are happy to have their teeth brushed wth my tooth powders.
