Globes are so much fun use in decorating.
And this globe caught my eye from far away- it has such a great, unique greenish blue color.
It is a 12" globe, made by Replogle. I love the fancy Replogle logo on it; I haven't seen that version of the logo before. It says "CLEAR, ACCURATE, UP-TO-DATE". Well, that's not so much true anymore. I know it was made before 1948, as it still says Palestine rather than Israel.
This globe is in relatively good vintage condition, but it does have some flaws. There are some marks, scratches, a couple of very small tears and several rust spots on the metal base.
Also, you can see some overall yellowing and some discoloration that almost looks like water staining. The yellowing is most noticeable along the seams and the equater.
It is still securely attached to the arm and base, although the top plate (the little metal circle) sits off of the globe surface just a bit.
Size: globe is 12" diameter; 16" tall including base
