This necklace is made of an unfinished wooden ring. It is completely "raw" birch wood from Canada or Maine, without any kind of finish, chemical or treatment.
The rings have been sanded smooth with a unique process using rice – an all natural sanding medium and one of the least allergenic foods available. This necklace is perfect for little hands to play with as well as serving as an all natural, plastic-free alternative to use when baby is teething!
I use a waxed cotton cord - brown or black which can be adjusted from approximately 14" to 28" long. If you would prefer a natural organic hemp cord, please note that in the Notes To Seller section when you order.
Please note that the grains vary slightly on each wooden ring.
