Linocut relief print on vellum
edition of 15
18" x 12" paper size ...but can be cut down to a smaller size
Oh Shit. depicts the precise moment when this snowman realizes that in this life, she/he is a snow cone, about to be devoured. The pink that gradually fades to white is the artificial raspberry flavoring seeping through shaved ice.
Much of my 2004 work uses snowman imagery as an attempt to muse about death without a heavy burden of sadness. In this context I think of snowmen as seasonal, temporary citizens of the planet. I have shortened this snowman's lifespan to less than ten minutes.
The bottom image is of for your reference and not part of the print.
This is an original, limited edition hand-pulled print, not a digital copy. It is unframed and ships wrapped in acid-free glassine. I ship within 3 business days.
