this ring has not left my finger since i finished it. cast sterling sparrow claws clasp a large faceted emerald cut "stone" the stone is gently hollowed out in the back to take off some weight & is also sterling silver, oxidized to a dark gray black. the sparrow claws are highly detailed, a reincarnation of a real pair cast and now made immortal into the most perfectly dark & darling ring ever.

this ring was inspired by one of my most favorite characters in film, the strange and unusual lydia deetz from beetlejuice. lydia is often the foremost point of reference for me fashion wise. i wish i had the guts to cut my bangs. with this ring, i've imagined what a lydia deetz on the cusp of her 30's would wear & covet......


this ring is HUGE and makes quite a statement on the finger.
the darkness of the stone will eventually wear and show signs of it's silver underbelly, revealing a look that will resemble old victorian mirrors.
