Some polymer clay experience is helpful, but not necessary. The tutorial is geared to the beginner with a basic familiarity with polymer clay techniques, even if just seen in a book or demo. Only simple tools and a pasta machine are used. Materials are readily available at craft stores or on-line - sources are included in the tutorial.
My name is Betsy Baker and I'm the artist behind Stonehouse Studio. I have studied under polymer masters Kathleen Dustin, Louise Fisher Cozzi, Maggie Maggio, Dan Cormier, SL Savarick and Judy Kuskin. I have been featured numerous times on PolymerClayDaily.com and was named as one of the up-and-coming polymer artists in the April 2009 online edition of American Style magazine. I was featured in the Gallery section of the January 2010 edition of Art Jewelry magazine and am an Invited Artist at the 2011 CraftBoston show of contemporary fine craft. Craftsmanship and beautiful finishing are hallmarks of my work.
