Very little is known about St. Jude. He changed his name from "Judas". Good move. He was one of the twelve apostles. Good goin'.

So why is he the patron saint of hopeless causes? Sister St. Aloysius, here at the convent, has a theory that someone in the early church noticed that since we didn't know much about Jude nobody would be praying for his help. With nobody praying for his intercession he would have a lot of time on his hands, eternity being an extra long time, so with nothing much to keep him busy he would have time to work on the really hard stuff.

He's much busier now, what with Danny Thomas and all, but here he is on a necklace to help you.

Hand painted medal on antique copper colored ball chain measures 23".
