This is thick 18 gage square wire so these are very sturdy. If you have tiny earholes you might have a problem with these. They are lightweight.
The ear spears from the top of the arch are;
1 1/8" x 5/8"
The cowrie shell has a special place in many cultures. For West Africans it was used as the first money. Native Americans traded African traders use them as decoration on their garments. The Japanese have used them as good luck talismans in their bureaus and Romanian gypsies consider them the strongest talisman there is.
