After casting the vase, it's treated with slibs in various colorsshades to create the birch pattern. I used a needle to carve horizontal lines to add a birch look to it. Then the cup is bisque fired.
After the bisque firing, I apply a black stain to the vase to accentuate the birch pattern. Then I glaze it with a clear glaze. The inside of the vase has clear glaze.
The entire process is quite time consuming but the result is all worth it.
This listing is for one vase.
The vase measures 19,5cm or 7.65" high and 11cm 4.25" wide at the rim.
**** IMPORTANT ****
You might not receive the vase in the picture above but it will be looking just like it. This saves me heaps of time taking pictures. In case you would like to see the vase you get before you purchase, please drop me a convo. I'll be happy to take a picture for you.
All my items are lovingly handmade by me. This means there can be some differences between the pictures and the actual item. I try hard to keep these differences limited but the handmade nature of my items make that all of them are one of a kind.
