From cutting the wood blanks to applying the cork on the back I make all of my coasters from the ground up. Images are decoupaged on and sealed with a ridiculous number of layers of water based sealant for a glossy finish and a long life. I think the wooden base makes them the perfect weight - heavy enough not to stick to your glass every time but not so heavy that they’ll break your table (or your floor or your foot or themselves) if you drop them.
Each coaster measures approximately 3.5 by 3.5, is 1/4 inch thick and comes backed with a solid sheet of cork to protect your furniture. To clean them, just wipe with a damp cloth.
