The inspiration for this roombox came from my love of antiques and old leather bound books. When you (walk) through the door, you will see steps leading to the book side of this shop. It is separated from the antique side by a brass and glass railing. The bookcases are filled with 763 individual, handmade leather and paper (books.) The message board is so lifelike, you’ll be compelled to read the postings.
Walk across the shop to the antique side and you will find many artisan pieces including a Philco style radio by Jim Watt, so lifelike you expect to hear the old “Jack Benny” show coming from it! There is also sterling silver and crystal for your refined tastes.
The front has large paned windows and a (leaded) glass door and transom. The exterior walls are (stone,) and the (concrete) sidewalk has a lovely street lamp. The "vents" on the roof are actually handles for lifting the roof to expose the concealed wiring. This entire box has been hand crafted. and you will want to shrink yourself to 1/12 scale so you could go inside and shop till you drop!!
It measures 20” Wide 18” deep (including the 5” sidewalk) and 15” High. Windsor is in 31 treasury lists, it is no longer available, it was sold at the Chicago international show
