This is another necklace that is part of my Tibetan Collection. Items for this necklace were purchased by me on a recent trip to Tibet. The brass mandala is from the market in the Tibetan quarter in Lhasa. Mothers attach this zodiac medal to their baby's blanket or to their clothes. It provides protection for loved ones and creates a sense of harmony among the family. The inlaid bone beads were part of a string of prayer beads and purchased in the market in Shigatze. There are little turquoise and red pieces on the beads. Also, there are some chunky turquoise and coral beads to create a one-of-a-kind necklace.
The necklace measures 18 inches (47cm) in length with a 3" (7cm) extension chain.
These earrings would look great with this necklace
