Machine Knit Pattern - Hollywood Hat and Scarf
From LindasCrafts
I played around with this stitch called "The Wave" and I went crazy with it. It's a fun, open, crocheted-look stitch done manually on the machine, this one on a Bulky machine with worsted weight yarn. Again, my fans BEGGED me to put the pattern together for it, so I offer it to you too. I give you clear instructions how to knit the scarf and it comes off the machine ready to fringe, no extra finishing required. Then, when you master the "Wave", you can move onto the hat with the knitted on brim. You can wear the brim to the side for a rakish look (also hide a bad hair day magnificently), and try out a variegated yarn for a really spectacular look! People will want to know how in the world you did it! And in only a couple of hours to boot!! You will get many requests for this from your teenagers, also. It will be addictive seeing all the different colorways coming out in fantastic patterns. I also have added two more ways to knit the hat: without the brim for a cloche look, and an extra row of "Wave"s for a slouchy look. Super cool and chic anyway you make it.
