According to my research, The House of Bianchi was known as a specialty shop for formal evening wear, cocktail dresses, and wedding dresses. Colomba (Massa) Bianchi was the founder of the House of Bianchi. The daughter of President Johnson Linda Bird Johnson chose a House of Bianchi as her wedding gown in 1967. According to the Vintage Fashion Guild, House of Bianchi was founded in 1949 in Boston and Medford, Massachusetts. Its designs were sold by bridal shops throughout the U.S. until 2001, when it abruptly shut down.
Based on the style, I estimate this dress to be from the 1980s. There is no fabric content label, but the fabric feels like a stiff rayon.
This dress is in mint vintage condition with no visible imperfections. I estimate that this dress would best fit a size M - L, but please check the measurements below against something similar in your closet, and be sure to leave a little extra room (ease) so you can breathe.
