Late 1930s/Early 1940s Wartime Raspberry Velvet Dress with Scalloped Trapunto Style Details Late 1930s/Early 1940s Wartime Raspberry Velvet Dress with Scalloped Trapunto Style Details
This is a beautiful and flirty frock from the 1930s/40s wartime era. Made of a rich raspberry colored cotton velvet, decorated with trapunto-style scalloped patterns stitched above and below the waistline. Cuffs can be worn rolled or down. Padded shoulders, fitted waist, swingy skirt. Fastens at side waist with metal hooks and eyes; button loop closure at back neck creates keyhole. Stunning and a great way to stand out with style this holiday season!

Approximate Measurements (in inches):
Bust: 40 (but I found it fit me exactly at 36-37 bust)
Waist: 30 (comes with belt to cinch waist smaller if desired)
Hips: up to 42
Length: 41

Condition: Excellent. Some teeny scuffs here and there, as is usual with vintage velvet. Otherwise, in lovely and very wearable condition.

(please note photos may show fabric as more red than it is. The color is a raspberry color with pink undertones, as opposed to more of a scarlet red).
