I hand shape and form each piece out of a high fire paper clay. The paper clay is made using old recycled egg cartons creating a bead that is light and sturdy. (Not nearly as heavy as you think!) Not a lot of breakage with this ceramic piece.
* The piece is 1 1/2 x 1 inches (3.81 x 2.54 cm).
* This piece has a lovely mermaid with flowing hair. She has a green tail with brown hair. Accompaning her is a fish, purple and teal blue, and a seahorse, a light bone color. They are on on a free form designed oval bead.
* It is purple and cream in color.
It has a vertical hole 1 to 2 mm and can come on a waxed cotton cord with a lobster claw clasp in any length http://www.etsy.com/shop/artrageousclay?section_id=6871212

By the way - The lights reflect on the piece because of the glossy finish of the glaze that is on the bead. The picture doesn't do them justice!
