The hat is blocked with high quality millinery velour felt over an antique block. It's hot pink in color, though it has also been described as cranberry. It's got an unusually high nap that just begs to be touched. The hat is bound by a matching hot pink satin ribbon that ripples slightly, giving the hat the impression of movement. It's finished with a cut glass bauble. It's lined with a light and dusty pink Thai silk. Though I like to put something brash in the lining, I felt as if this hat is brash enough on the outside. Every stitch is made by hand. Most are barely visible.
