This is a very special coat that would be perfect worn over a wedding dress, but it is beautiful enough to be worn as the wedding dress itself (just wear it over something...)
Whether it's your first wedding, renewing your vows, celebrating a Hand-fasting, or just want to play Lady of the Lake (I don't judge) this finely-detailed coat will be perfect.
It is constructed entirely from high-quality upcycled sweaters. I've chosen to make this coat in shades of off-white & cream, simply because it is nearly impossible to find high-quality lambswool & cashmere sweaters that are bright white. Most of the time, sweaters that are bright, bleached-looking white are made from hard cotton, and that was not the look that I was going for. Also, I love the antique-y feel that this coat has. The coat closes with three hand-sewn gold frog-toggles. It also has a sewn-on belt, so the waist can be cinched quite nicely, for a figure flattering shape.
This listing is for an upcycled sweater coat that will be CUSTOM MADE FOR YOU (not the coat in the pictures). I will make you a custom coat in the same style and colors as the one pictured. It's important to emphasize that since I work exclusively with upcycled materials, no two coats will be exactly the same.
ABOUT CUSTOM ORDERS:
Turn-around time on a custom coat is about 2-3 weeks, though please convo me if you need it sooner. Since each custom coat will be made to the client's specifications, they are not returnable. If you choose to leave a 50% deposit, I will post your coat, reserved for you with pics, for the balance. Custom coats must be paid for within one month of purchase. I am happy to make custom coats in other colors, but please contact me before purchase to discuss your idea.
After purchase, please let me know your height, general top size and bust measurement (measured over clothing).
