Mesquite Cutting Board Round with Forged Hoop

I made a board similar to this for cutting dovetails. Someone suggested that it might be a good design for a cutting board, so here it is. It's 11.5" dia X 4" thick. It's end grain mesquite which can't be beat for something that is going to take some pounding or cutting. My dovetail board is still going strong after more than 20 years. The stainless steel hoops are driven on a 10 degree taper on the board,holding it very securely and preventing any splitting, even with the hardest pounding. The board features six firm rubber feet secured with stainless steel screws.
