this originally designed textile orchid plant has been hand stitched in a lovely blossom print silk in apricot, recycled from a vintage 1950's kimono, and a beautifully soft recycled cashmere. the center of the flower has been stitched from an embroidered linen and a pretty dotted cotton print. the flower and the felted wool bud and leaves have been carefully stitched onto a green wool stem, which was then sewn into a felted wool pouch filled with rice, and tucked within this pretty pottery dish... finished with bits of moss and real bark
the wire frame can be gently moved and shaped
the entire piece measures about 11.5" tall and spans about 7" across the widest point... the pottery dish measures about 2.5" tall by about 2.25" across the base
