Who's Ludwig van Beethoven?
Part virtuoso pianist, part master composer; Beethoven was a musical genuis. Beethoven is often considered one of the most influential composers ever; despite hearing difficulties (eventual deafness) from his Middle period of composing onwards. Beethoven's works went on to inspire numerous musicians and composers.
This print depicts a bold portrait of Beethoven in rasberry and pure yellow in the foreground set against a background of piano sonata manuscript sketches in Beethoven's hand. Beethoven's name includes both the bass clef and whole note in yellow. Beethoven's words shed some light into the mind of a musical genius.
