I made these by weaving seed beads together with a needle and thread. The design for the triangle is my own, but I learned about the arrangement of triangles when I listened to a talk by George Hart on Orderly Tangles. Hart writes, "In the 1970s and 1980s Alan Holden described symmetric arrangements of linked polygons which he called regular polylinks and constructed many cardboard and stick models. The fundamental geometric idea of symmetrically rotating and translating the faces of a Platonic solid is applicable to both sculpture and puzzles."
The edge of each triangle is 23mm (1 inch) and the complete tangle measures 26mm at its longest.
All of my beadwork arrives in an origami gift box, hand folded by me out of beautiful printed card stock.
