I made him with generous opening at the back for a range of tea pot handle shapes, and the front slit is 4" long - I opened it up all the way to the bottom and put a small strap of narrow black elastic across the bottom to work for just about any standard tea pot shape. The fabric is stretchy so you just stretch the monster over the pot and he will cuddle your tea.
His eyes are white felt with black flat plastic button eyes and slightly sparkly reddish brown "eye lash" yarn for his eyelashes!
