To make a Reverse Echo shirt, I begin with a series of low impact dye baths until they tell me they're done, creating a canvas for printing. Then, I use vintage Middle Eastern woodblocks to remove the dye, letting the flow of color in the shirt guide me. The pattern is not painted on, which means it will never crack or fade and the fabric is uniformly soft. And each shirt is completely unique, never to be repeated.
