Along with a vintage doily, the words 'keep it simple' are freehand embroidered onto vintage cotton sourced in France with yellow/orange and purple flowers. The back is lined with natural Irish linen.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a darning foot. I 'write' freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
The last photo is to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop. This listing is for the hoop shown in photos 1, 2 & 3 only, others hoops and bobbins are not included sorry.
This piece is mounted on a 8"(21cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
