The chickens on this smaller hoop are made from vintage floral fabric sourced in France, and appliquéd onto green floral fabric printed in the heart of the Welsh countryside.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I cut the fabric to be appliquéd and 'draw' freehand straight onto the fabric with black thread.
The last two photos are to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop. This listing is for the hoop shown in photos 1, 2 & 3 only, others hoops and bobbins are not included sorry.
This piece is mounted on a 4"(10cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
