Apothecary , is a Mixed Media Assemblage measuring 12" X 10" X 3 1/2". An antique drawer from a watchmakers cabinet is the vessel for this shadowbox. My idea of an old time healer, part medicine man part witch doctor. The interior of the drawer and the outer sides are decoupaged with antique book pages, articles and vintage prescriptions. Full of curiosities!! Including: a pair of vintage glasses, antique and vintage pill and medicine bottles, a piece of bee hive and a piece of a wasp nest, several insects, some wings, a lizzard, moss, stack of vintage optical lenses, vials of mysterious spices,specimens and spores, and what I believe is a mouse skull (definately in the rodent family) and more. Each piece can be removed from the box and viewed up close. Each container or bottle is sealed.
