This kit contains a printed copy of the Semi-Fantastic Mr. Fox sewing pattern (full size pattern pieces and a fourteen page photo tutorial that will walk you through the entire Mr. Fox making process) as well as nearly everything that you need to complete the project.
The kit includes:
* Sewing pattern, printed as a hard copy and packaged in a lovely large, blue envelope for safe storage.
* Pre-cut fabrics for easy sewing. The cutting has all been done for you! Just put the pieces together and sew and you'll have a fancy fox stitched up in no time at all. This particular kit contains natural colored linen as the main body color and a combination of printed cotton fabrics for the arms, legs and ears. Also included are fabric scraps for stitching together Mr. Fox's patchwork scarf.
* Necessary notions for completing your fox. You will receive four wooden buttons for attaching the arms and legs to your fox, as well as two pre-cut felt circles for eyes and black embroidery thread for the nose. These items are tucked into a handstamped muslin bag for safekeeping until use.
* One seven-inch long doll needle. You'll need this for attaching the arms and legs to your fox. Through much trial and error I have found that not all doll needles are created equal. The needle included in this kit is super strong and very sharp and will make your creative process so much easier as a result!
The finished Semi-Fantastic Mr. Fox is about 16 inches tall from the tips of his toes to the tops of his attractive ears and has movable button limbs. Instructions are included in the pattern for attaching limbs as well as for making Mr. Fox his very own coordinating patchwork scarf and embroidering his simple but distinctive nose.
This is a fun project for sewers of nearly any level. The pattern does assume some sewing experience but if you are new to sewing and want to dive in, feel free to contact me with any questions!
